2002 The Old Fort Steuben Festival
The first federal land office for the NW Territory is one of the many attractions at historic Ft. Steuben. As the Seven Ranges were being surveyed in the late 1700’s this building is where the recordings were on record.

We were permitted to set our marquee in the yard directly on the south side of the building

Here’s 4 pieces of Burlington from Missouri showing the stages in producing a corner notched blade. Actual size of the finished blade was 3-7/8” long with a 5:1 width to thickness ratio. A combination of hammer stone, horn billet, copper billet and pressure tool were used in the demonstration.

Jeff watches intently as he picks up some pointers on platform preparation.
