About Us Dan & Sharon Minard We have been traveling as Woodland Originals for four years now -- meeting many new and interesting people at shows and knap-ins. Since we found our first artifact in a local farm field we've been curious as to how they were originally created by the American Indians. This was the spark that flamed Danny's determination to learn yesterdays skill of survival to today's art in the principles of biface lithic reduction or flint knapping. Most of our arrowheads and blades are made of Flint Ridge material from Ohio our native state. We invite you to view the art and beauty of the craft and material. Upcoming events will be posted as scheduled. Enjoy! The Workshop At the edge of the scenic Ohio Erie Canal is the workshop, warmed with a wood burning stove, where Danny shares his skill through personalized lessons with a limited number of students. After which they return to the main cabin for freshly baked cookies and brewed coffee. E-mail or call for details at (330) 854-2129. |
